In solidarity visit to Sudan, WCC strengthens foundations for peace

The World Council of Churches led a delegation on a visit to Sudan from 18-22 April. The ecumenical group included the World Council of Churches (WCC), All Africa Conference of Churches, ACT Alliance, Association of Member Episcopal Conferences in Eastern Africa Global Ministries, Fellowship of Christian Councils and Churches in the Great Lakes and Horn of Africa, General Board Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church, and Norwegian Church Aid.

The World Council of Churches (WCC), a global fellowship of 352 churches representing more than half a billion Christians from around the world, has been deeply involved in the work of the United Nations from as early as 1946 through its Commission of the Churches on International Affairs (CCIA). The WCC is a platform for common action by churches on issues that negate or threaten the dignity of all people.

ВСЦ «не может согласиться» с Наказом Всемирного русского народного собора, где конфликт в Украине назван «Священной войной»

Генеральный секретарь Всемирного совета церквей (ВСЦ) преподобный профессор д-р Джерри Пиллэй от имени церквей-членов ВСЦ заявил, что ВСЦ не может примириться с Наказом XXV Всемирного русского народного собора, в котором конфликт в Украине назван «Священной войной».
