En una histórica demostración de unidad, las iglesias etíopes reunidas en el Instituto Ecuménico de Bossey tomaron la decisión de establecer un consejo de iglesias en su país.

Con el fin de reforzar la cooperación ecuménica en la respuesta humanitaria y en la construcción de la paz en Etiopía, varias delegaciones de alto nivel de las mayores iglesias etíopes se reúnen del 27 al 30 de noviembre en el Instituto Ecuménico de Bossey. 

With a historic show of unity, Ethiopian churches meeting at the Ecumenical Institute at Bossey made the decision to establish a council of churches in their country.

To strengthen ecumenical co-operation in humanitarian response and in peacebuilding in Ethiopia, high-level delegations from the largest Ethiopian churches are convening on 27-30 November at the Ecumenical Institute at Bossey.

The World Council of Churches (WCC) Commission of the Churches on International Affairs (CCIA) has facilitated churches’ engagement in a wide range of critical issues of the world since the last WCC Assembly in Busan, concluded the 58th meeting of the WCC CCIA, gathering church representatives in Johannesburg and online in the 75th anniversary year of the Commission’s creation.
