The Christian Council of Nigeria extended condolences for those who lost loved ones amid violent attacks in remote villages in northern Nigeria. At least 140 were killed as assailants targeted 17 communities, burning down most houses in the area.

Das armenische Volk und die armenischen Kirchen bräuchten dringend eine „großzügige Antwort der internationalen Staatengemeinschaft auf die humanitären Bedürfnisse der Flüchtlinge aus Bergkarabach, insbesondere die humanitären Bedürfnisse von vulnerablen Frauen, Kindern, alten Menschen und Menschen mit Behinderungen sowie all jener, die keinen Zugang zu anderen Formen von Unterstützung haben“, heißt es in einer Erklärung, die der Exekutivausschuss des Ökumenischen Rates der Kirchen (ÖRK) auf seiner Tagung in Abuja, Nigeria, verabschiedet hat.
