WCC shares greetings with Christian Council of Nigeria on 93rd anniversary

World Council of Churches (WCC) acting general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Ioan Sauca extended greetings on behalf of the global fellowship to the Christian Council of Nigeria as it held its 31st Triennial Assembly and marked its 93rd anniversary at the Basilica of St Andrew in Enugu, Nigeria from 23-26 November.

Der geschäftsführende Generalsekretär des Ökumenischen Rates der Kirchen (ÖRK), Priester Prof. Dr. Ioan Sauca, besucht in dieser Woche die koreanische Halbinsel, um die dortigen ÖRK-Mitgliedskirchen der Solidarität des ÖRK zu versichern, die ehemalige ÖRK-Präsidentin für die Region Asien, Pastorin Dr. Sang Chang, zu treffen, an einem ökumenischen Friedensgespräch teilzunehmen und der 26. Weltkonferenz der Pfingstkirchen ein Grußwort zu überbringen.

World Council of Churches (WCC) acting general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Ioan Sauca is visiting the Korean Peninsula this week, bringing greetings of solidarity to WCC member churches, meeting with former WCC Asian president Rev. Dr Sang Chang, attending an Ecumenical Peace Conversation, and bringing a message to the 26th Pentecostal World Conference.

What is found in this report fulfills a vision that I took with me to Geneva in 1989 in a meeting with then-general secretary Emilio Castro. During that visit, I called on the WCC to bring together 120 Pentecostal scholars from around the world to the WCC 7th Assembly known as Canberra 91.
