Religious leaders will gather on 12 December for an event inked to the Global Refugee Forum. Hosted by the UNHCR, the World Council of Churches (WCC), and Religions for Peace (RfP) at the Ecumenical Centre, Geneva, the programme is entitled: “Religious Leaders Unite for Climate Peace in Solidarity with Refugees.”

Media are invited to attend the graduation ceremony of the Emerging Peacemakers Forum on 13 July in the Main Hall of the Ecumenical Centre in Geneva. The forum, organized in partnership between the Muslim Council of Elders, the World Council of Churches (WCC), and the Rose Castle Foundation, includes 50 young people from 24 countries.

The upcoming central committee of the World Council of Churches (WCC) 15 – 18 June will be the sixth meeting of this central committee since it was elected at the WCC 10^th Assembly in Busan, Republic of Korea, in 2013.

With the World Council of Churches (WCC) 11th Assembly approaching in less than four months, Orthodox Churches will convene in Cyprus for a pre-assembly to prepare themselves for the larger event in Karlsruhe, Germany, 31 August – 8 September.

Media are invited to a 45-minute opening press conference on 9 February at 17:30 CET as the World Council of Churches (WCC) central committee begins its meeting.

Media accreditation to the World Council of Churches (WCC) 11th Assembly, to be held in Karlsruhe, Germany, 31 August – 8 September 2022, will open on Monday afternoon 31 January 2022, at 5 pm CET.

 

Media accreditation is open for the World Council of Churches (WCC) online central committee meeting, scheduled for 9 – 15 February.

On Monday, 13 September, the International Symposium for Communication for Social Justice in a Digital Age will begin online at 10 am CET in Berlin, Germany and continue until 5 pm CET on Wednesday, 15 September.  

The World Council of Churches (WCC) invites accredited media to the online closing press conference on 29 June, to be held directly after the closing session, which is expected to end at 515pm CET, at the earliest. The exact time for the press conference is dependent on the duration of the closing session and will be communicated 15 minutes in advance. Accredited media are welcome to join the WCC Communications team in the online WCC press room from 5 pm CET.
