WCC shares resources with Korean Christians on climate-responsible banking for children

On 27 October Korean Theology Forum on Climate Crisis organized a conference The Response of the WCC to the Climate Crisis and its Policy for Carbon Neutrality” for the formation of church leaders, pastors and students interested in ways to connect local activities to the global horizon. The conference was sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of the Republic of Korea.

Le 22 mars prochain, une prière pour la paix dans le monde rassemblera les fidèles chrétiens dans l’espoir d’un avenir meilleur. Un communiqué publié par le comité de planification de la prière explique que les chrétien-ne-s sont appelé-e-s à s’unir dans la prière et à défendre la paix. «Dans un contexte mondial pris d’assaut par la guerre et la violence, la pratique de la paix est devenue plus urgente que jamais», précise le texte.

Le secrétaire général par intérim du COE en visite en péninsule de Corée

Le secrétaire général par intérim du Conseil œcuménique des Églises, le Père Ioan Sauca, est en visite en péninsule de Corée cette semaine pour faire part des salutations et de la solidarité des Églises membres du COE. Il y retrouvera l’ancienne présidente du COE pour l’Asie, la pasteure Sang Chang, participera à une Conversation œcuménique sur la paix et transmettra un message à la 26e Conférence pentecôtiste mondiale.

Dr Sang Chang, attending an Ecumenical Peace Conversation, and bringing a message to the 26th Pentecostal World Conference.

"Light of Peace" book now available in Korean

The National Council of Churches in Korea has published a Korean translation of The Light of Peace: Churches in Solidarity with the Korean Peninsula, a book the World Council of Churches (WCC) fellowship is using to recognize 70 years of unresolved conflict on the Korean Peninsula.
