The World Council of Churches (WCC), with the support of UNAIDS, hosted a webinar on World AIDS Day, 1 December, that launched two new tools aimed at invigorating HIV response by the faith sector.

In a session held at COP 28's Faith Pavilion, the World Council of Churches (WCC) and the Green Hope Foundation collaborated to shed light on the urgent need for interfaith feminist actions addressing climate change's disproportionate impact on women and girls.

As she spoke during a World AIDS Day event hosted by the World Health Organization and UNAIDS, Gracia Violeta Ross, programme executive for WCC Ecumenical HIV and AIDS Initiatives and Advocacy, called for honesty, equality, and inclusivity.

The World Council of Churches (WCC), with support from UNAIDS, hosted a webinar in Uganda and Nigeria on 14 November under the theme ““Changing Hearts and Minds” against HIV stigma.

Entitled "Changing Hearts and Minds: Uganda and Nigeria in the Fight Against HIV Stigma," the webinar is organized by the World Council of Churches (WCC). This online event, scheduled for 14 November from 15:00 to 17:00 CET, will bring together esteemed voices from both the faith communities and networks of people living with HIV.

Entitled "Climate Emergency & The Giant Leap—Faith Responses,” the webinar is organised by the Interfaith Liaison Committee, a platform co-chaired by the World Council of Churches (WCC). The online event will happen on 31 October and feature prominent voices in the field in a conversation on climate action and the role of faith communities.

In a letter to the United Nations General Assembly, the World Council of Churches (WCC) joined other global Christian organizations in reiterating a call for a New International Financial and Economic Architecture (NIFEA).
