The food system is a complex web of activities involving production, processing, transport, and consumption. Key issues concerning the food system include how food production affects the natural environment, the impact of food on individual and population health, the governance and economics of food production, its sustainability, and the degree to which we waste food.

El CMI y la Alianza Evangélica Mundial refuerzan su colaboración

El Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI) y la Alianza Evangélica Mundial (AEM) se reunieron el 25 de agosto en Ginebra para examinar posibles áreas de cooperación en el futuro y debatir al respecto.



Las dos organizaciones hablaron de sus planes actuales y de las posibilidades de establecer una colaboración más estrecha en ciertas áreas temáticas, tales como la sensibilización y la consolidación de la paz, la emergencia climática y las cuestiones relativas a la condición de miembro. 

 

WCC, World Evangelical Alliance strengthen collaboration

The World Council of Churches (WCC) and the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) met on 25 August in Geneva to explore and discuss possible areas of future cooperation.

The two organizations shared current plans and discussed possibilities for closer collaboration on thematic areas such as advocacy and peace building, the climate emergency, and membership matters. 

 

World Social Forum convenes to “express and practice solidarity”

The World Social Forum 2021 is taking place virtually from 23-31 January, taking into account the interlinked global crises of the COVID-19 pandemic, economic hardship and climate emergency. Faith groups are continuing to accompany this process by organising discussions on theologies of liberation.

WCC Eco-School 2020 for Pacific region is further postponed

The fourth edition of the World Council of Churches (WCC) Eco-School on Water, Food and Climate Justice is postponed to  22-28 February 2021. The Eco School will be held in the Pacific region in five countries (Fiji, Tonga, Vanuatu, Tuvalu & Solomon Islands), hosted by the Pacific Conference of Churches.
