Der Ökumenische Rat der Kirchen (ÖRK) beteiligt sich mit Gebeten und Fachwissen an der 23. Sitzung des Ständigen UN-Forums für indigene Angelegenheiten, die vom 15. bis zum 26. April in New York stattfindet 

Der Generalsekretär des Ökumenischen Rates der Kirchen (ÖRK) Pastor Prof. Dr. Jerry Pillay sagte im Namen der Mitgliedskirchen des ÖRK, dass die Erklärung des 25. Weltkonzil des Russischen Volkes, das den Konflikt in der Ukraine als „Heiligen Krieg“ darstellt, für den ÖRK nicht vereinbar sei.

World Council of Churches (WCC) general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Jerry Pillay, on behalf of WCC member churches, said that the WCC cannot reconcile the Decree of the XXV World Russian People's Council describing the conflict in Ukraine as a “Holy War.”
