Rev. Gloria Nohemy Ulloa Alvarad

WCC president for the Caribbean/Latin America

The Rev. Gloria Nohemy Ulloa Alvarado obtained a bachelor in commercial studies, followed by theological studies at the Biblical Seminary of Colombia, and the Pontifical University Javeriana of Colombia. She obtained a master’s degree in pedagogical processes. She served as a pastor, academic coordinator, and chaplain of the Presbyterian College.

Ulloa was the president of the Superior Council of the Reformed University (2001-06). She has coordinated pastoral teams and diaconal projects. She has been involved with the Latin American Council of Churches and the WCC since 1981. She collaborated with the WCC for the creation of the Programme for Ecumenical Accompaniment in Colombia (PEAC). She participated in peace building efforts with the Presbyterian Church (USA).
