Eternal God,

in a time when we are warned against contact,

the risen Christ invites us to touch his wounds,

to see what is beyond our windows and walls,

to hear within the stricken silence the word of life,

to reach further than we had dared,

where forgiveness heals not only us, but our world.

We know that the wounds await our fingers,

and that the surprise of love continues to ask that we trust love's power.

We affirm that no boundaries can keep Christ out,

so even with our troubles and doubts,

we praise the One who sets us free

and give glory to the Blessed Trinity, one God, now and ever. Amen.
