WCC greetings for Hanukkah 2025

In these days of dedication and celebration of one of the great moments in Jewish history, we pray for reconciliation and renewed light in our shared world.

As we recall the command given to Aaron to set the lamps so that their light would shine forward from the menorah (Numbers 8:1–4), we pray that this light, symbol of presence, guidance, and renewal, may continue to shine in your lives and communities, bringing peace, joy, and hope.

Hanukkah Sameach to Jewish communities everywhere. 

May the light of Hanukkah continue to inspire resilience, deepen mutual understanding, and help nurture justice and peace for all.
