Dears Aldona and Michal,
Dear members of the Karski family,

It is with sadness that I extend my heartfelt condolences to you and your family, as well as to the whole ecumenical family in Poland, on the passing of your beloved husband and father Professor Karol Karski.

Prof. Karski stood out as a determined and tireless advocate for unity among Christians, always rising above denominational boundaries.

We are thankful for his innumerous efforts to promote the ecumenical movement, especially through his careful work on the translation of several key documents produced by the WCC.

His life was a testament to the power of faith, dialogue, and unity. As a devoted scholar and pioneer in the field of ecumenism, his legacy will continue to inspire all who seek understanding and reconciliation among Christian traditions.

Known for his integrity and dedication, he became a leading voice in Poland’s ecumenical movement—an enduring testament to his lifelong belief in Christian and human brotherhood.

May the comfort of God’s promises and the love of those around you bring peace during this difficult time. Rest assured that "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds”. (Psalm 147:3).

In Christ,

Rev. Prof. Dr Jerry Pillay
