This material has been developed by the World Council of Churches for use by churches and partners worldwide during the World Week for Peace in Palestine and Israel, observed on 16-22 September 2024.
Each day of the week presents a specific sub-theme of focus, an overview of current realities, key data and/or individual testimonies, a Bible reference and prayer.
Bible verses and prayers for each day have been drawn from Catholic Patriarch Emeritus Michel Sabbah’s daily reflections during the war in Gaza.
The main theme for the World Week for Peace in Palestine and Israel in 2024 is “Whatever you did…you did for me." (Matthew 25:40)
