From 26 to 28 August 2026, we, theologians, church leaders, economists, youth leaders, Indigenous leaders, ecumenical partners and peace-building practitioners coming from Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, the Middle East, North America and Europe met in Panama City for the New International Financial and Economic Architecture (NIFEA) Consultation on Economy of Peace. NIFEA, which envisions an Economy of Life for all, is a joint ecumenical initiative of the World Council of Churches, the World Communion of Reformed Churches, the Lutheran World Federation, the World Methodist Council, the Council for World Mission and the United Society Partners in the Gospel.
