A study of current ecumenical structures and relationships

Jill Hawkey

This mapping study, based on 65 interviews with representatives of churches and ecumenical organizations, is part of a much larger discussion on reconfiguration of the ecumenical movement. It was prepared for a consultation on "Ecumenism in the 21st century" that took place in December 2004.

The study aimed at enabling participants at the consultation to have an understanding of some of the actors currently in the ecumenical movement; their history, membership, programmes, funding, relationships, some of the major issues they are facing and what they see as their particular role in the ecumenical movement.
