I would like to thank for the letter from World Council of Churches (WCC) regarding concerns about the earthquake in Lombok on August 5, 2018.
We want to inform you that the General Chairperson of Communion of Churches in Indonesia (CCI), Rev Henriette Hutabarat-Lebang, together with the Staf have visited the location of the earthquake and met the victims, last Friday. Together with our network, our humanitarian team still work there for emergency responds. We do need your pray and support due to the huge victims and massive IDP’s.
We appreciate the expression of sorrow and solidarity from WCC for the calamity experienced by the people of Lombok. We will convey your sorrow and prayer to the WCC member churches in Indonesia.
We also pray may God gives strength and consolation to the victims family and a healing for them who sustained injuries.
