Exhibition “Peace takes a different way”

Violence begets violence, so peace-building requires nonviolent engagement. Examples of how this can be done have been put together in an interactive exhibition by the Evangelical Church in Hesse and Nassau, EKHN (represented in the World Council of Churches through the Evangelical Church in Germany, EKD).

Examples of how this can be done have been put together in an interactive exhibition by the Protestant Church in Hesse and Nassau, EKHN (represented in the World Council of Churches through the Evangelical Church in Germany, EKD).

Highlights from the exhibition (originally produced in German) are now available in English and will be on display at the World Council of Churches’ Ecumenical Centre in Geneva, from Wednesday, 3 April 2019 through Friday, 3 May 2019, in the lobby area.

Opening reception and prayer

A delegation from the EKHN will officially hand over the exhibition to the World Council of Churches (WCC) during a short ceremony on Wednesday, 3 April 2019, 12:15-12:45 pm.

With the participation of:

  • Prof. Dr Isabel Apawo Phiri, WCC deputy general secretary
  • Rev. Detlev Knoche, director of the joint Ecumenical Centre of EKHN and the Evangelical Church of Kurhessen-Waldeck
  • Rev. Dr Mikie A. Roberts, WCC programme executive for Spiritual Life, together with the Ecumenical Centre worship committee.

The short ceremony will be followed by a welcome drink.
