The webinar will focus on refugees, asylum seekers and migrant workers who belong to vulnerable groups suffering in the COVID-19 pandemic. Speakers will share stories of pain, resilience, solidarity, and hope from various regions in the world, along with a call to prayer and action.
Bishop Rosemarie Wenner, Geneva secretary of the World Methodist Council, said that, during the COVID-19 pandemic, refugees, asylum seekers and migrant workers are suffering in many ways. “Often they are excluded from health care and support systems or they are seen as a threat,” said Wenner. “Methodists around the globe work with people on the move, share their pain, and are blessed by their resilience and strength.”
