Under the theme Prayers as Gifts,” WCC staff acknowledged that their body is ever-changing.

It is important and right that we recognize these times of passage, of endings and beginnings,” they said. Today we celebrate all the gifts that our colleagues have brought to us as we journeyed together in fulfilling Gods calling in the earth.”

They thanked all those departing for their love, kindness, and support. We are grateful for the ministry we have shared together,” they said. With joy we recall what we accomplished with Gods help, and with sadness those dreams not fulfilled.”

They also asked for forgiveness for mistakes made and expectations not met.

We celebrate all that God has accomplished among us,” the WCC staff said. We are grateful for your ministry and for your influence on our lives.”

The prayer concluded with thankfulness for the shared ministry. We remember those who have gone before and we look with hope toward those who will come,” the WCC staff said. Grant that all of us, by drawing closer to you, may always be close to each other in the communion of saints.”
