This year with a theme from Psalm 71:22, I will also praise You with a harp, Even Your truth, O my God, member churches, faith-based communities, and civil society organizations around the world are encouraged in particular to promote artistic expressions – of both the current situation and hopes for the future in Israel and Palestine – and through art to pave the way for creative peacebuilding initiatives.
“The annual world week for peace in Palestine and Israel offers an opportunity for all of us who share the hope of justice and peace in the Holy Land to unite around the globe in solidarity and peaceful action, and to create a common international public witness,” reflects WCC acting general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Ioan Sauca.
