Pillay will preach at an Ecumenical Service of Worship on 2 July.
The Presbyterian Church (USA) 226th General Assembly will elect a new stated clerk and new co-moderators to lead the denomination.
The meeting includes a dinner to pay tribute to and celebrate the service of Rev. Dr J. Herbert Nelson, immediate past stated clerk.
Also attending are dozens of ecumenical delegates, representatives and guests, many of whom are WCC member churches and ecumenical partners. The WCC general secretary will be accompanied by Mr Douglas Chial, WCC director of the office of the general secretariat, a lay member of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and a member of the Covenant Network of Presbyterians.
