As a follow-up to the Arusha Conference on World Mission and Evangelism in 2018, and a bridge to the 11th WCC Assembly scheduled for 2022, the workshop* will contribute to the overall outcome of involving young people in the ecumenical movement.
The aim of the workshop is to provide ecumenical missional formation and to facilitate the contribution of young leadership, their educators, and mission practitioners in reflecting on current issues and challenges of mission in churches and mission agencies.
Participants will acknowledge and reaffirm the “Arusha Call to Discipleship”, as well as examine how WCC member churches and ecumenical mission partners have been implementing the call as agents of transforming disciples in relation to young leadership.
Participants will be encouraged to identify concepts of mission in their own and global contexts.
