Many have perished and many more are injured as reports continue to emerge.
“This is indeed a great tragedy in a country that has been so blessed,” said Sauca. “With our deepest sympathy, on behalf of the World Council of Churches, I offer prayers to the people and churches in Korea as well as our heartfelt condolences to all those who have lost family members and friends in this disaster.”
Sauca also expressed a sense of solidarity with the churches and the people in South Korea, particularly those who are suffering.
“We pray for God’s healing grace and blessings upon churches’ efforts and initiatives to assist those in need,” said Sauca.
