The World Council of Churches (WCC) extended greetings and prayers to the 105th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in the Republic of Korea, which convened under the theme “Restore us, O Lord, in truth and love.”

“Following guidelines on the COVID-19, all of you have come to pray together for God’s restoration and to discern truth through the love of Jesus Christ,” said WCC interim general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Ioan Sauca in a video message. "From 1 March to 15 August this year, the WCC launched the global prayer campaign as an ecumenical expression of solidarity with the people and churches in Korea.”

Sauca said he looks forward to continue working, walking and praying with the Presbyterian Church in the Republic of Korea to develop a prophetic stance in its understanding of the church and its mission in society. “I pray that your reflections and decisions during the 105th General Assembly be enlightened and blessed by the Holy Spirit,” he said.
