Sauca greeted the Christian Evangelical Church of West Timor with the words of the Apostle Paul in his Second Letter to the Corinthians, words which inspired the theme of the WCC 11th Assembly, “Christ’s love moves the world to reconciliation and unity.”
“The centrality of Christ’s love draws on the very heart of the gospel that offers to the world the depths and wonder of the love of God, the Holy Trinity,” said Sauca. “May the celebration of your church’s 75th anniversary be a reminder of the important role that you play in your context by promoting Christ’s love, inspiring people to engage in the service for the most needy, and caring for God’s good creation.”
