On behalf of WCC general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Jerry Pillay, Rev. Dr Peter Cruchley, director of the WCC Commission on World Mission and Evangelism, saluted the decades of important ecumenical and international research on mission that the association continues to undertake, in French and in other languages.

Congratulations to your association which is a vibrant platform bringing together academics from different churches, young researchers, and grassroots practitioners as well as giving space to a variety of mission associations and networks,” reads the message. Please extend these greetings to all those attending the international conference taking place in Paris on Mission and the meaning of words—how old terms fall out of favour, new words are forged and meanings change.’ "

The message notes with appreciation how many young theologians are giving papers and how the association is also following up on the WCCs Arusha Call to Transforming Discipleship and the WCCs work on ecumenical diakonia.

We wish you Gods blessing for your work in coming years and decades and look forward to working more closely together,” concludes the message.
