“Your election is a testament to the trust and confidence that churches and partners across the region place in your wisdom, pastoral dedication, and deep theological grounding,” Pillay said. “We are confident that your ministry will strengthen the bonds of fellowship, deepen ecumenical formation, and inspire new pathways for unity, justice, peace, reconciliation, and healing.”
Pillay said the WCC looks forward to continued collaboration with the Christian Conference of Asia under Moon’s leadership. “It is my sincere prayer that God will abundantly bless you and your ministry, so that the churches in Asia may continue to shine and bear faithful witness to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ,” Pillay said. “May God grant you strength, courage, and grace for the responsibilities entrusted to you.”
