WCC congratulates Rev. Terri Hord Owens on re-election as the general minister and president of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

World Council of Churches (WCC) general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Jerry Pillay congratulated Rev. Terri Hord Owens on re-election as the general minister and president of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

“The church you lead has proclaimed unity as its polar star for many years and has lived that proclamation,” wrote Pillay. “The delegates made a wise decision – one that will benefit the Disciples, the church universal, and all of creation.”

Pillay aded that he is praying for resilience in challenging times.“May you be blessed in your continued leadership,” he concluded.
