“The Church of Scotland, as a founding member of the World Council of Churches in 1948, has a long and distinguished role in working for ecumenical relations,” wrote Sauca, adding that he looks forward to meeting delegates from Scotland at the WCC 11th Assembly in Karlsruhe, Germany in 2022.
“I hope that you may be able to visit the headquarters of the World Council of Churches in Geneva in the course of your moderatorial year,” he wrote. “I send my prayerful good wishes to you, your family and to your congregation in Dunfermline.”
