Rev. Dr Odair Pedroso Mateus, interim WCC deputy general secretary and director of the WCC Faith and Order Commission, read a video greeting sharing warm congratulations.
“In times of global threats, widespread fear, growing inequalities, and xenophobia, we are called to work together locally and globally,” said Mateus. “Let mutual love continue. May God bless this gathering and the ministry of the Global Christian Forum. May Christ’s love move the world to reconciliation and unity.”
The Global Christian Forum Bogota Global Gathering, held 24-27 April 2018, was the first of its kind in Latin America and also the first in a Spanish-speaking country.
