World Council of Churches acting general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Ioan Sauca called for prayers in the wake of an attack by a gunman that left 22 people dead in Nova Scotia, Canada over the weekend. The gunman was shot by police.
“We would like to express our solidarity with the people of Nova Scotia, the police, the churches, the communities, and all those wrapped in shock and sadness,” said Sauca.
“Please pray for all the families that lost loved ones, for the gunman’s family, for the communities in Nova Scotia that will never be the same after this violence. May they find comfort in the love of God and in their care for each other,” he said.
