We echo your recent call to your membership to continue to promote peace at all levels of their lives and to cherish national democratic institutions built with so much pain and effort,” the letter reads. El Salvadors history and the suffering of its people attest to the critical importance of maintaining the principles and institutions that ensure that government serves the interests of the people, and that those in power do not abuse it.”

Sauca and de Faria also shared prayers that God will strengthen the churches of El Salvador in their ministry and witness, and lead El Salvador on the path to peace and justice.

Be assured of our Christian solidarity and commitment to walking with you in this challenging time,” concludes the letter.
