The various conversations with the leadership and programme executives about the implementation of the assembly's mandates and individual areas of work, such as climate justice or peacebuilding in the Middle East, were very inspiring for us,” said Hirzel. We also felt with gratitude that closer cooperation with the member churches is of strategic importance to the WCC.”

Hirzel added: As a church in the country where the WCC is located, we feel a special connection to it and were delighted to be able to see the progress of the Green Village project on site.”
