An ongoing series of consultations hosted by the Network of the Ecumenical Patriarchate for Pastoral Health Care is exploring how to provide spiritual care to those who serve in the area of healthcare.

Participants will also learn ways in which the church can reach out to those who are isolated during periods of lockdown, and minister to families whose lives and wellbeing have been disrupted.

Launched on 16 December with the theme “The Pastoring Church in the days of the Pandemic”, the responsibility of these consultations have been allotted the Network of the Ecumenical Patriarchate for Pastoral Health Care by His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.

Local churches, as well as healthcare professionals and providers, will continue to exchange the experiences and difficulties they are facing. The consultation will continue in intervals throughout several weeks, with topics for discussion being posted in the coming days.
