Press conference of the World Council of Churches 11th Assembly

Focus: Care of Creation

When: 1 September at 11:15 am CEST.

Venue: The studio, Gartenhalle, Karlsruhe.

Accredited media can also participate and ask questions online via Zoom.

The press conference can also be followed via live stream for unaccredited media and the public at www.oikoumene.org/live

Agenda:

1. Words of Welcome, Marianne Ejdersten, WCC director of Communication
2. Ms Joy Kennedy, moderator of the WCC Working Group on Climate Change
3. Ms Julia Rensberg, a delegate of the Church of Sweden, represents the Sámi Council within the Swedish Church.
4. Mr Bjorn Warde, a delegate of the Presbyterian Church of Trinidad and Tobago, collaborates with mission groups in the Caribbean providing support and consultation on gender-based and family violence outreach as well as youth empowerment.
5. Questions to the panel

The press conference will held in English and interpreted in German, French and Spanish.
