reviewed the impact of past joint initiatives, took note of interreligious activities by the respective entities, explored future joint projects, and laid the groundwork for the 50th anniversary of collaboration between the two offices in 2027.
In a communique, the groups noted some of the key documents they have jointly produced.
“Both delegations expressed happiness over the deepening friendship and collaboration between the two offices,” reads the communique. “Recognizing religious diversity as an increasingly lived reality worldwide, they reaffirmed their commitment to ecumenical engagement in interreligious dialogue.”
The communique concluded: “In a world fractured by conflict, they underscored the vital role of religions—when guided by dialogue—in contributing to healing divisions, fostering fraternity, and cultivating peace and reconciliation.”
