The purpose of the contest is to highlight the concept of the “Wisdom of God” in the modern world and to promote churches that have been built in its honor for centuries. The spirit of the contest also acknowledges that Hagia Sophia, as a unique World Heritage Site, is a distinctive symbol of reconciliation between world history and common world culture. The contest will honor churches as cultural treasures all over the Orthodox world.

The contest is open to both amateur and professional photographs who are 18 and older.

Photos will be judged in two categories: monuments that were built before the year 1907 and those built since the year 1907 until today.

Participation in the competition is free and applications must be received by 31 May.

With more than 30 countries participating, the Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy was created 27 years ago on the initiative of the Greek Parliament.
