As the solidarity event began, settlers from Givat Ronen attempted to reach the area. However, they were rebuffed by the army, with whom the event was coordinated.

Rabbis for Human Rights executive director Avi Dabush stated: “This picture of hundreds of Israelis, including those injured by the Jewish terrorists, returning to the scene of the attack, two weeks after it occurred, represents a significant victory. We declared that we will not give in to violence and that we would return to the field to stand in solidarity with Palestinian olive farmers against those who regularly attack them.”

After the attack two weeks ago on Rabbis for Human Rights and the Palestinians they were accompanying, World Council of Churches (WCC) acting general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Ioan Sauca shared prayers of healing for those injured and of solidarity with those working for peace.
