Río Blanco in San Pedro Sula

Río Blanco in San Pedro Sula swelled with fast water as hurricane Iota pushed into Honduras. Precarious housing on the riverside began to be washed away and people rushed to save their belongings.

Organised by the Church of North India Social Service Institute, the online event is part of a series that aims to create a platform where people who believe and work for sustainable development and peace can raise real issues concerning livelihood and health.

Together with local and international experts on the related topics, Dinesh Suna, coordinator of the World Council of Churches Ecumenical Water Network (WCC-EWN) is one of the speakers of the 5 December session.

The “International Webinar on Sustainable Development and World Peace” is being held on 3 different Saturdays from 28 November to 12 December, from 15.00-18.00 (IST)

The 5 December webinar (15.00-18.00 IST / 10.30 – 13.30 CET) can be accessed on Zoom:
