Featuring a “talk show” format with WCC central committee moderator Dr Agnes Abuom and moderator of the local host committee Bishop Petra Bosse-Huber, Evangelical Church in Germany, the first 15-minute episode features a look back at the WCC 10th Assembly in Busan, Korea, and the path toward the WCC 11th Assembly in Karlsruhe.
The two moderators are interviewed by WCC central committee member Rev. Dr Angelique Walker-Smith, who, describing the show, says: “We’re going begin the conversation in Busan and bring the conversation up to Karlsruhe.”
Abuom reflects on the journey from Busan to Karlsruhe. “As we began to conclude the 10th assembly, what really became imprinted in my mind was the assembly message in which the call to be on a Pilgrimage of Justice and Peace really resonated,” she said.
Bosse-Huber recalled her positive impression of the host Korean churches at the WCC 10th Assembly. “For me it was the first assembly of the WCC, and I remember the wonderful hospitality of the churches and the people in South Korea. That was a great experience for me and many, many other people.”
