She attended the World Council of Churches 11th Assembly in Karlsruhe, Germany, where she spoke about how her formation at Bossey was a factor that brought her to the global ecumenical gathering.

“Bossey was a lifetime experience, really, because we had the opportunity to study with the other, really live with the other, and to learn more about the cultural differences,” she said. “Bossey enriched my knowledge.”

“This world really needs inter-religious work and solidarity,” she said. “Then, when you know more, you are more powerful than the ignorant people around.”

She added: “So Bossey really was an opportunity for me to get empowered as a young female Muslim girl from the Middle East, and go back to my country, just to spread the word.”
