The two-day event aims to have the voice of church leaders heard on this issue, and craft a position for churches during the forthcoming 26th Climate Change Conference of Partners (COP 26) in Glasgow in November 2021.
The roundtable is expected to come up with a position paper on climate change by church leaders, including recommendations of what actions they can take within their congregations to mitigate its effects.
Among the speakers will be Rev. Dr FIdon Mwombeki, general secretary of the All Africa Conference of Churches, Dr Albert Butare, chief executive officer of the Africa Service Energy Group, and Charles Ogilvie, director of strategy at the COP 26 Secretariat.
