Through the Ecumenical Decade of Climate Justice Action, the World Council of Churches (WCC) calls for the global Christian family to participate in a Global Systemic Carbon Fast  from 18 February to 1 April. This year, WCC's Lenten campaign on Seven Weeks for Water becomes an integral part of the fast. Seven weeks of prayer, reflection and action address personal carbon footprints alongside the economic systems driving climate change and water contamination across the web of life.

The World Council of Churches (WCC) through its programme on Overcoming Racism, Xenophobia, and Related Discriminations, will convene a webinar on 2 March, titled “Interrogating the Intersections of Caste-Discrimination and Racial Discrimination in Asia (and Beyond),” in commemoration of the United Nations International Zero Discrimination Day.

Scholars and church leaders from around the world will gather 2-4 March in Boston for an international conference examining the life and legacy of Archbishop Anastasios of Tirana, Durrës and All Albania, one of the most prominent Orthodox Christian leaders of the late 20th and early 21st centuries.

The World Council of Churches is inviting applications for the Ecumenical School on Governance, Economics, and Management for an Economy of Life (GEM School), 17–28 August 2026 in Panama City, Panama. Five partner organizations are joining the effort: the World Communion of Reformed Churches, Lutheran World Federation, World Methodist Council, Council for World Mission, and United Society Partners in the Gospel. The 10-day programme will train 20–25 church leaders to push for change in global finance.
