An ecumenical prayer service in English will take place at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church (Rue du Mont Blanc 14bis, Geneva) on Wednesday, 21 January at 19.30 CET.

An ecumenical prayer service in French will take place at the Malagnou Protestant Church/Temple Protestant de Malagnou (Chemin Rieu 3, Geneva) on Thursday, 22 January at 19.00 CET.

Preaching in both services will be Very Rev. Fr Goossan Aljanian of the St-Hagop Armenian parish in Troinex, Geneva.

Held on 18-25 January, the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity will draw together churches across the globe under the theme There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling” (Eph. 4:4).

In a world with diverse and often divided traditions and expressions of Christian faith, Ephesians 4:4 reminds us that all believers are part of the one body” of Christ.

For the year 2026, the prayers and reflections for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity were prepared by the Inter-Church Relations Department of the Armenian Apostolic Church, along with their brothers and sisters of the Armenian Catholic and Evangelical Churches. The resources are jointly published by the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity and the World Council of Churches.
