Speakers will lead an exploration of overcoming obstacles in order to continue the quest for racial justice.

Critical questions will be considered in the context of the conversation, including: Why is eliminating racism, xenophobia, and racial discrimination so difficult?” and What are the obstacles hindering the elimination of racial discrimination?”

The webinar will also explore what strategies can help the World Council of Churches (WCC) make impactful interventions in the quest to eliminate racial discrimination, and what the WCC can say to the world on the quest for racial justice.

The webinar will combine a panel discussion with a participatory conversation between panellists and other participants.

Panellists:

  • Adele Halliday, Anti-Racism and Equity lead, United Church of Canada (moderator)
  • Rev. Dr Kent Walley, rector, St Luke's Episcopal Church, Gladstone NJ 07934 and recipient of a Lilly Foundation clergy renewal grant
