Sing-along with Swedish hymns (all in English) and WCC 70 anniversary songs, together with the board of the Anders-Frostenson Foundation.

Sing-along concert, with Swedish hymns (all in English) and WCC 70 anniversary songs, together with the board of the Anders-Frostenson Foundation.

Anders Frostenson (1906-2006) is the Swedish hymnwriter of the 20th century internationally known through hymns like ”Your love, o God, is wide as beach and meadows” as well as ”Many are the light beams”.

The songs will be presented by the Foundation's board members, including the hymn writer Per Harling, and accompanied by the Swedish organist Mattias Ekström Koij.

The event is open to the public. No registration necessary.

 

The 70th anniversary of the WCC in 2018 is an opportunity to mark the achievements of the past 70 years in working for Christian unity and action, and to look to the challenges ahead as a fellowship of churches responding to God’s call for unity, mission, justice and peace. This event is part of a series of anniversary celebrations taking place in various locations throughout the year.
