Mediation as a tool for conflict resolution in churches and religious communities: Online training seminar

Representatives of churches and religious communities will participate in the international online training “Mediation as a tool for conflict resolution in churches and (religious) communities in the context of shrinking spaces for civil society and churches”, organized by the United Evangelical Mission (UEM) in partnership with the Word Council of Churches.

Conversation in the group of people

Participants from the UEM, WCC and the partner organizations will take part in the training. Key areas of the online training will be the process of mediation as a conflict solving tool and human rights protection while human rights defenders and church activists face multiple forms of threats.

The goal of the online training is to strengthen the skills, deepen the knowledge, open a mutual learning space and to foster the networking of participants. The training will be based on a participatory approach - participants are expected to attend at least 80% of the course time, and towards the end of the seminar participants will design local or regional peace and human rights projects.
