This event concludes a series of 6 webinars organized through 2015 to inspire discussion and reflection on key aspects of mission and evangelism in contemporary settings.

This webinar will be led by:

  • Rev. Dr Andrew Irvine, professor of Pastoral Theology at Knox College, Toronto School of Theology
  • Rev. Dr Heather Heinzman Lear, director of Evangelism Ministries for The United Methodist Church
  • Dr Tony Kireopoulos, associate general secretary at the National Council of Churches, USA (moderator).

The webinars focus on the US and Canadian contexts. Together with discussions worldwide on the same theme they will set the scene for a major conference of mission professionals, academics and church leaders on “Reclaiming Evangelism: Celebrating Change and Collaboration” planned to take place before the end of 2015.

The series is organized by the World Council of Churches, in co-operation with the National Council of the Churches of Christ in the USA, in consultation with the Canadian Council of Churches and with support from the United Methodist General Board of Discipleship.
