La iniciativa de Pascua es una actividad anual del Programa Ecuménico de Acompañamiento en Palestina e Israel (PEAPI) del CMI que se propone conectar las narraciones de la Pascua con las realidades actuales de Palestina e Israel, poniendo de relieve las dificultades de vivir en un contexto marcado por la violencia, la guerra y la ocupación, al tiempo que alimenta la esperanza y destaca la labor de los grupos y las personas que se esfuerzan por lograr una paz justa.

برنامج المرافقة المسكونية في فلسطين وإسرائيل ينقل المشاركين ويكيّف عمله وفقاً للسياق الجديد للحرب

في أعقاب اندلاع الأعمال العدائية في 7 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر - مع ورود أنباء عن إطلاق آلاف الصواريخ من غزة على إسرائيل واختراق مسلحي حماس لجنوب إسرائيل، وما تلاها من رد عسكري إسرائيلي - يقوم مجلس الكنائس العالمي بتكييف عمله في الأراضي المقدسة لمواصلة دعم الجهود الرامية إلى تحقيق السلام العادل.

مجلس الكنائس العالمي يناشد بشكل عاجل من أجل وقفٍ فوريٍ لإطلاق النار في إسرائيل وفلسطين

يتابع مجلس الكنائس العالمي عن كثب التطورات في إسرائيل وفلسطين منذ اندلاع أعمال العنف في السابع من تشرين الأول/اكتوبر عقب الابلاغ عن إطلاق آلاف الصواريخ من قطاع غزة على إسرائيل واختراق مسلحي حماس جنوب إسرائيل. أعلن بعدها رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي أن البلاد في حالة حرب.

مجلس الكنائس العالمي يحيي الذكرى الخامسة والسبعون للنكبة

خلال الذكرى الخامسة والسبعين للنكبة، أو "الكارثة"، الفلسطينية - حين تمّ تهجير مئات الآلاف من الفلسطينيين أثناء قيام دولة إسرائيل في عام 1948- أعرب الأمين العام لمجلس الكنائس العالمي، القس البروفسور الدكتور "جيري بيلاي" عن تضامنه مع الكنائس الأعضاء في الأرض المقدسة.

El CMI conmemora el 75o aniversario de la Nakba

Con motivo del 75o aniversario de lo que los palestinos denominan la Nakba o la “catástrofe”, refiriéndose al inicio del desplazamiento forzado de cientos de miles de personas a raíz de la creación del Estado de Israel en 1948, el secretario general del Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI), el Rev. Prof. Dr. Jerry Pillay, expresó su solidaridad con las iglesias miembros en Tierra Santa.
